Transformers 2 is the sequel of Transformers which ended as Megatron's failure. In Transformers 2 the revenge of the Fallen tells about some of the origin way back 1700 b.c. when there was a prime that want to gain much power but to attain that power there is a requirement, it is our sun but the other primes did not let it that happen and defeated the power hungry bot and got back "the matrix" which is the key to operate the machine which will empower the bot and destroy the sun. The other prime hid the matrix and sacrifice their body as to be the hiding place of the matrix and it is called the Tomb of the Primes and the failure bot as called the fallen.
And entering the present Sam(Shia LaBeouf) going to college had a problem when a small part or piece of the cube was on the jacket of Sam falling then he picked it up and some data was transferred to his mind directly and he became the target of the Decepticons is Sam while Sam gave the piece of the Cube that was destroyed to Mikaela (Megan Fox). Then they are after Sam who has the information, trying to save Sam Optimus prime battled against 3 Megatron, StarScream and another decepeticon. The fight was so intense were Optimus is almost winning even in handicapped but at last he failed and he died. Mikaela captured a Decepticon while trying to take the piece of the cube then was questioned about the plans of the decepticon. Sam sought his roommate to help him and led him to the agent that was taken out to service because of Sam. The agent who has some document and pictures of bots that are staying on earth that is on form of vehicle even way back 80's. The captured or tamed decepticon by Mikaela was giving the location of the sleeping bots. And they went to a museum, were they let the piece to touch the vehicle to make it live again and when seeing the seal of a Decepeticon they panic and hid but this Decepticon or Jetfire told them that he has choice to be good or bad and led them eastern part of the world telling them about the matrix that can be the key to the new energy source. The Fallen was already making his move to locate Sam using the satellite they hacked. Sam and his group sought for clues then found the tomb of the primes luckily when the hole was made because of the arguing of the twin autobots. Sam found the matrix but it turned into ashes. Sam used the agent to contact his allies from the military to drop optimus from a location point. Sam was figured by the plane that patrolling in the skies and the location was attacked by the Decepticons, Sam hurrying to Optimus to give the ashes from the matrix almost have its death but to his consciousness the primes that protected the matrix talked to him and said about the matrix and then Sam came back to life and stab the matrix to Optimus prime's spark then optimus lived again but not in a good condition then The fallen took the matrix and wnet to the Pyramid where the new source of energy machine can be found. Jetfire came to back them up and then told Optimus to combine his part with him then Optimus upgraded and defeated the Fallen and Starrscream told Megatrons sometimes cowards survive and they retreated. peace came back to earth.
